Through the Years...

I got started restoring cars, with my first one in 1963...
because all of the early ones, needed something (or a lot).

1976 NOVA S S

I bought a shell, and put everything in this one. Got a 350 truck motor
we had re-built by a former NASCAR enginer builder,
(that was pretty cool),
and put a late model Cavalier grey cloth interior in it with buckets & console.
The required metallic blue paint of course, then I learned that the Pontiac version of the car (Ventura)
had a round dial dash insert that would go right into my dash,
so I got a hole saw and removed the old factory guages & idiot lights,
and installed SW guages. Rome, GA in 1997.

1970 Pontiac G T O
I did this one in Memphis in 1994.
It was completely original, in a faded lime metallic green-ish blue color.
The 400 Ram Air made the new paint dry quickly, however.
As you see, I have a preference for metallic blue.
1971 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS S
This was a fairly low milage car, that needed an interior
and new paint to but "done". I put in buckets and a headliner (black)
and new "rugs" on the floor. We re painted it one shade darker
than original, and there you are.
Chattanooga 1991.
1970 BUICK G S
This one was okay from the start, I replaced a couple of fenders and had the back bumper rechromed, put on new color, found some original size Polyglas tires and added the in dash tach. Atlanta 1988
1971 Chevelle SS
I was in Atlanta then, found this one on a low rent lot in Marietta.
I did the usual, removed the vinyl top, re painted MY blue, wheels,
tires, seats, carpet, and so on and so on...1985
1961 Chevrolet Impala
I saw this one on a car lot in Atlanta, which was about to become
a shopping center. (The lot not the car.) Anyway, my friend Vic Jester
loaned me the necessary 250 bucks, and I took her home.
I started the re-do and ended up trading it for the Chevelle. Atlanta 1985
Yeah, its uhhh Dodge Mirada !
Nashville, 1984, it was cheap, dropped the 6, did a 383 with
dual turbo exhaust, (not easy), paint, wheels and tires.
Won a trophy in late model modified at the car show
shown in picture.
1969 Pontiac G T O Judge
I promised myself in March of 1969, that if I made it back from VietNam, I would own one of these, well I did, and I did. I bought a rough one in Chattanooga in 1980, and a few days and dollars later, here it was.
